Black Literature in our goals to expose and uplift new and established authors of all genres. We are proud to announce the creation of “BLM Shorts”! Once a month BLM will feature one short story (of any genre) on our website to our over 45,000 readers! The rules and requirements are simple:
- The work must be between 12,000 to 15,000 words.
- Must be an ORIGINAL work and NOT previously published.
- Must be fully edited. Unedited submissions will not be considered.
All short stories sent become the property of Black Literature Magazine. We will NOT be publishing your stories in any anthologies or books, but retain the right to republish the work (or parts) on the site at our discretion. There is NO PAYMENT for the work. This is merely a chance for amazing exposure. Authors may only have one (1) published submission with the mag a year.
